The best way to discover the breathtaking landscapes is by foot or bicycle. Then you can fully enjoy the famous still inhabited castle by prince ” the Merode” and the restored city hall.

Abbey of Tongerlo is one of the top sites to visit in Westerlo.
Alongside the cycling track ” abdijenroute” you can also visit the other abbey’s (e.g Averbode). You can admire the famous masterpiece replica of Leonardo Da Vinci the “Last Supper” in a dedicated exposition room.

Also the famous family park “Bobbejaanland” with thrilling roller coasters is easy to reach by car or bicycle ( 10 km)
